Events of 2004

The LADA in the Berestetchko 2004. By tradition the LADA lacemakers have taken an active part in organization and creative program of the Berestetchko 2004 folklore ethnographic camp. From July 13 till July 20, 2004 more then 200 children and their teachers rested and worked in the Zhiguli camp (near Zolnoye village).


The LADA Workshop is 10! Anniversary of the LADA Workshop. From May 4 till May 7, 2004 the festival "The New Is For Spring And The Anniversary Is For LADA" devoted to tenth birthday of the LADA workshop has passed. On May 4 the anniversary party was held, in which 10 children's creative collectives of Samara and Samara Region have taken part, and also the organizations and private persons, which help the LADA Workshop.

The New Light Collection of the LADA Workshop was first shown at the party. The collection was shown by: Alexandra Shipilova, Alexandra Khoreeva, Yuliya Barayeva, Yuliya Zemskova, Polina Yurisheva. The production of the defile was realized by choreographer Alexander Grighorevsky.

From May 4 till May 7 the final exhibition of the LADA's works made from 1993 till 2004 was holding. The festival was closed on May 7; young filet lace makers were handed the honorary letters and souvenirs.

The LADA is also deeply grateful to her friends, visitors of the festival, for their warm words to young lacemakers and congratulations by feat of their creative gifts and souvenirs. The LADA severally thanks her friends who have sent their congratulations from all over the world. They are: Marie-Jo Quinault (Filet Lace by the Sea, Florida USA); The Blue Ridge Mountain Lacemaker's Guild in Pennsylvania, USA (the founder of the guild is Ruth Ann Youngblood); Tatiana Splender from Brest, Russia.


Zhiguli Palette 2004. From February 20 till March 31, 2004 the LADA was showing their works on the Ninth All-Russian Art Festival Of Young Talent "Zhiguli Palette 2004" in the Samara Art Museum. 12 the LADA Workshop's works were selected by jury for the exhibition. The exhibits included items of the Dowry Collection; they were awarded the festival diplomas. The winners of the festival are Elena Afanasyeva, Tatiana Splender, Mariya Kashtanova, Xenia Koshkaryova, Viktoriya Kotelnikova, Vasilika Anisina.


The LADA is at the Samara Regional Arts And Crafts Exhibition. In March 2004 Samara Regional Arts And Crafts Exhibition was held in the Youth Socialization Centre. The LADA Workshop's Dowry Collection was shown at the exhibition. The collection made by Alexandra Shipilova, Alexandra Khoreeva, Anastasiya Aleynova, Vasilika Anisina, Yuliya Barayeva, Yuliya Zemskova. The Openwork Rosette lace picture by Ekaterina Musitchenkho was also shown. The work became the winner of the exhibition.
